The Start and Finish line is between Gales Ledge (A) and Trident, the Race Committee Boat.

 

The first of 9 handicap classes starts at 10:30 am, followed sequentially by the other classes at 15-minute intervals. Each class will be designated by a Class Flag (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, M) and will be started using the following combination of sound and visual signals:

 

Gun & Class Flag — 5-Min. Warning

Gun, P Flag & Class Flag — 4-Min. Prep

Horn & Class Flag — 1-Min. Warning

Gun (Class Flag Dropped) — START

 

In the event of a misfire, the visual shape (flag) always takes precedence.

 

➤ The Race Committee Boat may anchor either side of Nun 6 to avoid Gales Ledge.

➤ The Start line is always crossed in the direction of the first mark.

➤ Honor cans 3, 5, 7 on the way to or returning from Newcombs. If you sail between two cansyou must exit between the same two cans.

➤ The Finish line is crossed from the direction of the preceding mark.
